About Thomas Luz

Thomas Luz is a specialist in providing technical services to hotel projects.

From 1999 Thomas spent eight years with Kempinski Hotels, most recently as Director Project Coordination, where he was in charge of Technical Services and Pre-Opening Coordination for the Kempinski projects in Europe with consultancy work in the Middle East and Africa, as well as China.

During his tenure with Kempinski, Thomas oversaw the technical services and pre-opening for more than 20 hotel projects from the first works on the drawing board until the successful opening. His completed development list consists of projects of all sizes, from small boutique hotels to large city- and resort properties.

In 2007 Thomas established his own consultancy company, but maintained close contact with Kempinski and continued to work on several Kempinski projects.

Since that time, Thomas has grown his client portfolio and successfully completed projects for owners/franchisees and other operators such as Shaza Hotels, 25hours, Viennahouse, Marriott, Element Hotels and others. 

Prior to that, Thomas worked for many years in the hotel operation in Europe and Asia. He holds a B.Sc. degree in International Hospitality Administration, as well as an MBA.
